Barrydale In Bloom 2019

“What is Barrydale In Bloom?” you may ask…

Once a year, as all the Klein Karoo plants awaken from their chilly winter sleep, they come out in full bloom…giving us all the feeling of celebrating life in colour!

The Barrydale In Bloom festival gives you a very rare opportunity to stroll through the gardens of the locals.

Very unassuming from the outside, the houses hide magical gardens filled with Klein Karoo indigenous flora and fauna that will leave you “ooing and aahing”!

Our local township, Smitsville is also part of this festival, and let me tell you – those small gardens are bursting with colour, quaintness and talent!

Last years (2017) was such a great success and we had many visitors through our village.  We hope that you will be with us for this years which will be held again over an October weekend.

Just to add to the enjoyment of the weekend there will be a craft fair, selling all things homemade, handmade or horticultural plus a tea room filled with a selection of delicious homemade cakes for you to sample.

Look forward to having you join us.
