It is hard to believe that Christmas is just a few days away and that 2016 will all too soon simply be a record in the annals of history.
As the year draws to a close, let us take time to look back and count all the blessings we have received this year. We are so busy with our day to day lives that we sometimes forget to count and appreciate our blessings. You may be busy buying gifts or sending cards and decorating your house for Christmas, but please take time to do something to make people smile and feel loved. All you need to do is share your happiness with others and smile so that they will be inspired. Spare a thought for the many who will be on their own and lonely at this time – lend a helping hand or give a hug.
Christmas isn’t about buying the most expensive presents, clothes and toys for everyone. Christmas is about spreading the love of Christ to all those we meet. So fill this season with rejoicing and take time to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, Emmanuel – God with us.
Family and friends are the greatest assets a person can have, so share your blessings and joy with them this festive season.
Shirley and I wish you and your loved ones a blessed Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2017.
