The glamorous function which was held last Thursday to crown this year’s Mr & Ms Gansbaai Academia drew a full house. Mr Tommy Wilson said in his closing speech that for him, the successful event was a dream come true due the the vibrant interaction between the diversity of learners.

Llewellyn Davids charmed the judges and earned himself the 1st Prince’s sash, but is was Jacques Prins who will be remembered as Mr Academia for 2017. The vivacious beauty, Anelisa Xhego took the 2017 Miss Academia crown with Aimelize Geerdts as 1st princess.

Shariefa Abrahams was a favourite amongst the crowds and was crowned 2nd princess. Keenan Michels was a gentleman of note in his elegant black suit and yellow bow tie.

It was not only beauty, but also this talented group of singers who had the audience in awe.

The annual Mr & Ms Gansbaai Academia contest was hosted last Thursday during an evening filled with glitz and glamour. Anelisa Xhego took centre stage as she not only claimed the Miss Personality title, but was also crowned as 2017’s Miss Gansbaai Academia. Principal, Mr Tommy Wilson, said the evening manifested the success of diversity at this school – for Mr Wilson: “a dream came true”. Master of Ceremonies was Mr Gericke van Eck (right).

Janine le Roux (links) was baie gewild onder haar aanhangers en dit is duidelik dat sy ‘n geliefde sportpersoonlikheid by die skool is. Aimelize Geerdts is selfversekerd in haar veelkleurige sportdrag.

Die deelnemers het dit nie maklik gemaak vir die 3 beoordelaars nie. Die pragtige Whitney Jansen (middel) word deur 2 ware here na die loopplank gelei. Donnadue de Villiers en Lumko Msomi wys dat die Gansbaai-manne weet hoe om ‘n dame te behandel!
