Laerskool Gansbaai Choir Shines at Suidoosterfees Choir Competition 2023 and Artscape Opera House Performance

The Gansbaai community is proud of Laerskool Gansbaai’s recent musical achievements at the Suidoosterfees Choir Competition and their outstanding performance at the Artscape Opera House. 

Suidoosterfees Choir Competition 2023

Laerskool Gansbaai recently achieved an incredible feat by attaining a third place in the Suidoosterfees Choir Competition 2023. 

Artscape Opera House

After the conclusion of the Suidoosterfees Choir Competition, Laerskool Gansbaai's choir was invited to perform at the ATKV Koorgala at the Artscape Opera House in Cape Town.

The choir was asked to sing Siyahamba and also be part of the mass choir led by Niël Rademan. 

The evening was shared with some of South Africa's best classical musicians such as Zanne Stapelberg, Brittany Hope Smith, Conroy Scott, Nina Schumann, Magan-Geofrey on piano and violin, Petrus de Beer, and many more.

Unforgettable Experiences

Both events were unforgettable experiences for everyone involved, and the choir is grateful they had the chance to showcase their talent to such large audiences.

The choir leader, Carla Du Toit, and the accompanist, Asanti Smit, are highly praised for their leadership and motivation throughout the process. 

Inspiration To Work Harder

The choir will forever remember this achievement, and it will inspire them to work harder and continue developing their talents.
