Transform Cravings into Gratitude: Achieve Abundance

"It is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor." - Seneca

When we crave, we live in lack. Lack is an awareness of something that is not present in our sensory field. The moment we mentally register the lack, we trigger alarm bells in the form of fear, doubt, anger, hate, etc. This allows us to enforce the lack of what we crave in our sensory perception because we can fear not having enough, hate that it was taken from us, and be angry about an unfair situation, etc.

The second we shift into our emotional perception, we will self-sabotage in an attempt to avoid the negative emotion. There might indeed be a lack. However, we perpetuate the lack when we focus on the lack and shift into craving more.

A sure way to shift your focus is to start and close every day by finding even one thing that you can be grateful for. Slowly, you move your emotional state from lack to one of gratitude. In time, you start looking for the good in your life and now you can live outside the bounds of self-sabotage. There is magic that happens in that moment, and our life can turn around towards a life filled with abundance and gratitude.
