Have You Ever Hugged An Alpaca?
This is something for the whole family to enjoy! Helderstroom Alpacas is one of the few farms in South Africa that breeds these fascinating, spitting, curly-haired creatures with bad 80s hairdos that hail originally from South America.
They were also the first farm in the country to have produced twin alpacas, a very rare thing indeed. The alpacas are shorn in October and November (before it gets too hot) and that fleece is then hand-spun before being knitted into beautiful, earth-friendly garments (both the alpacas and the fibre production process have a low environmental impact and a very light carbon footprint).
