The climate of Pringle Bay and Rooi Els is nice and moderate thanks to the villages’ location right next to the ocean. The only thing to really watch out for in this area is the wind that can blow through across False Bay. Thankfully, there are plenty of places you can go to enjoy a sheltered day out when the wind comes up.
The weather forecast for the area is reasonably consistent in each of the seasons, making it easy to know what to expect. On average in summer, the temperatures are in the mid-twenties to mid-thirties. The hottest days of the year are usually in January. In winter, temperatures tend not to go below double digits during the day. However, things can get quite chilly at night. The area also experiences winter rainfall so wrap up warm for the first half of whale watching season.
Pringle Bay generally isn’t an area of extremes in weather, making it pleasant all year round.
