Botrivier Weather

The village of Botrivier has wonderful weather forecasts for travellers all year through. Boasting a Mediterranean climate, Botrivier weather from December to February is typical of the Cape Town/Overberg summer, with warm days ranging from 25°C to 35°C in temperature. Then when winter rolls around, from June to September, the area experiences large amounts of rainfall and offers, on average, 16°C to 20°C day-time temperatures.

Botrivier truly is paradise during summer, with cooling breezes from the Bot River and Lagoon, as well as the Atlantic Ocean, offsetting the valley’s warm temperatures. The long days are great for outside activities like mountain biking and horse riding, as well as for touring the area's many acclaimed wine farms.

During the winter months, the rivers, dams and lagoons in the area are full from considerable rainfall - making a range of daring water sports possible. This is particularly true for any activity relying on rapids, like white water rafting or tubing.

The moderate Botrivier climate makes it an all-year-round destination with various attractions for every season. All you need to do is bring the sunscreen in summer and waterproof clothing in winter!
