Hoërskool Bredasdorp learners continue to excel in academics, sport and cultural activities. The Grade 12 Afrikaans Home Language class attended a live production of Onderwêreld in Swellendam, giving learners valuable insight into their prescribed novel.
A major highlight was the successful Elim Slaghuis HSB Cycling Tour, where 23 learners completed a challenging multi-day route through the Western Cape, climbing mountain passes and cycling through rain to finish proudly back in Bredasdorp.
The school also celebrated strong sporting achievements:
• Rugby teams recorded impressive wins against Gansbaai Akademia.
• Athletes represented the Western Cape at national championships.
• Learners competed at provincial karate, chess and underwater hockey events.
• Several hockey players advanced to the next round of Boland trials.
At the WP Youth Show Championships, 17 learners earned places in the Western Cape team across categories including photography, culinary arts, dairy preparation and animal showing.
