I have it on my heart to write this post. This year was undoubtedly a challenging time for both employers and employees alike. As an HR consultant who frequently engages with organizations facing tough decisions, I am acutely aware of the complexities and emotions associated with the difficult task of employee retrenchment, particularly during this time of the year.

Firstly, to the business owner or employer, I want to extend my sincere empathy to you and your team. Deciding to retrench employees is never easy, and the weight of such choices can be burdensome.
