Ceramic Kitchenware

Madeleine Murray of Muddylane Pottery Studio in Napier has become known by ceramic lovers around South Africa for her artistically inspired stoneware designs. Madeleine unites screen printing with clay work to create unique yet functional kitchenware pieces that are pleasingly off-centre and slightly unconventional - while remaining refreshingly functional.

Inspired by the Overberg’s natural beauty, the ideas that leave Madeleine’s talented hands are thrown with skill on her potter’s wheel and are then immortalized in her kiln. The result is unique pieces that will become keepsakes wherever they find themselves.

The Muddylane Pottery Studio range is oven-proof and dishwasher friendly. The collection includes but is not limited to:

  • Serving platters
  • Fruit bowls
  • Dinner plates
  • Side plates
  • Cereal bowls
  • Soup bowls
  • Water jugs
  • Milk jugs
  • Coffee mugs
  • Espresso cups
  • Chip and dip bowls
  • Snack bowls
  • Cookie stamps
  • Salt and pepper pots
  • Sugar pots
  • Spoon rests

Visits to Muddylane Pottery Studio by the public are most welcome and you can call Madeleine directly to make an appointment.
