Tips for safe snake removal:

  1. NEVER attempt to kill a snake or allow anyone else to do so.
  2. Always keep track of the snake by watching it from a safe distance of at least five metres until help arrives.
  3. Always keep people and pets away from the area, most bite cases are a result of the snake been intimidated in some way.
  4. If the snake is indoors close windows and doors leading to the room.
  5. Place a towel or roll up a newspaper along the base of the door to prevent the snake from escaping.
