DOGS ON LEASHES ARE WELCOME ON THE BLUE ROUTE IN FERNKLOOF
... just another way we are celebrating Tourism Month and we are highlighting responsibility.
It is Tourism Month in South Africa and the Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT) in the Western Cape identified four themes to celebrate Tourism Month 2021.
During Week 1, universal accessibility was highlighted and during Week 2 the theme of accessibility was explored. During Week 3, the topic of responsibility will be highlighted and Week 4 will revolve around transformation.
So during this 3rd week, we are highlighting responsibility.
Fernkloof Nature Reserve has 60 kms of hiking trails and is a delight for nature lovers.
For those who would like to take their dog, please make sure you stay on the designated blue route (the only trail that is dog friendly if leashed).
The Hermanus Cliff path is also part of Fernkloof Nature Reserve and all the laws that protect the environment in a nature reserve also apply to the path.
Please be a responsible dog owner, respect the rules, be considerate of other nature reserve users and clean up after your dog. Let’s scoop the poop.
