SANRAL Training for Local Contractors: Accessing Construction Opportunities

SANRAL training to assist local contractors to access opportunities within construction industry.

The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure, in collaboration with Overstrand Municipality, will be hosting a pre-tender training workshop to equip emerging contractors to be complaint for SANRAL (South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited) projects in due course.

To qualify for the training, applicants need to meet the following criteria:

• Be a registered company with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC)
• Have a Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) grading of 1-4CE or GB (Note: active membership)
• Be tax compliant
• Registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
• Proof of highest school qualification OR an affidavit (certificate or letter on schools' letterhead)
• Proof of address in the name of owner of the business
• Letter of commitment to attend the training and assessments for the 22-day period SANRAL will do the selection and contact the successful emerging contractors directly to find a suitable date for the 22-day training period.

The documents must be submitted to the Overstrand Municipality's Local Economic Development (LED) office in Hermanus on or before Thursday, 28 March 2024.
