SEPTEMBER DATES FOR INDIGENT SUBSIDY ASSISTANCE

During the last week of August 2025, a total of 1 026 indigent applications were handled across the Overstrand, comprising 642 new, 367 renewal, and 17 incomplete applications, with Hermanus processing the highest volume.

The backlog decreased from 472 to 340 during August 2025, with a total of 123 applications approved and 9 declined over the period.

A total of eight house visits were conducted in Hermanus and Gansbaai during August.

Overstrand Municipal officials will be available on selected Saturdays and will offer extended hours at community halls during weekdays to help individuals register or apply for the Indigent Subsidy.
