The Mirror Within

We look at other relationships through the prism of our personal relationship with self.

The relationship we have with ourselves will be the foundation of any other relationship.

When we create lack within, as humans, we seek for it outside.

We become “needy” in the hope that someone will fill the lack within.

We expect our friends, spouses, siblings, and colleagues to behave in a way that we have proof that we are loved and that we are worthy to receive the love.

This is actually a very selfish demand, because I am expecting you to fill me.

Because of my personal criticism I am an empty pit that can never be filled, until the day I decided I am worthy and deserving and I build a relationship according with myself and the people around me.

Our family, colleagues, or friends comes and holds a mirror for us.

The purpose of the mirror is to see where you deny yourself. Where you reject yourself. Where you limit yourself.

The purpose of the mirror is so you may see and find yourself within, so you can fill your cup.

If you refuse to do this, you will sit in judgement and resentment because the people out there do not want to give me what I seek.

The moment you experience judgement and resentment, you have a guide of what you must do for yourself.

Find the love, kindness, peace, compassion, and joy within.
