COVID-19 and your Medical Aid
If you cannot pay your contribution for your medical aid please get in touch with us TO ADVISE you of the different options on your medical aid.
Most major medical schemes are able to assist.
Here are a few options:
- You can DOWNGRADE to a lower plan option that will save you money on your contribution although you will have LESS benefits.
- If you are on a medical aid with a SAVINGS PLAN and there are some carried over savings from the previous year, you can apply for relief by paying your contribution with the carried over savings.
- Some schemes offer an option with NO CONTRIBUTION NO COVER for three months where after you can rejoin without waiting periods.
- Other schemes will look at a DELAYED CONTRIBUTION PLAN for you whilst you enjoy cover. This is offered on an individual basis depending on your circumstances.
DO NOT CANCEL your medical aid during this time as you might not have cover when you need it most!
