What comes after EXCELLENT in the rating of an experience? Just carry on reading, and you will find out. I arrived with certain expectations, as riding (fast) on the beach had been on my bucket list for many years and was a long-standing promise to my godchild. In addition to that, I questioned if riding on the beach with freedom was possible. We were about to find out. The relaxed manner of Sarah and Kos (the owners) set the mood of the day: calm and friendly.
The horses themselves are simply remarkable. Many have been rescued, and you can see how much love and care they receive. They are so well-trained and gentle, yet full of personality and spirit, and are very fit. It was clear the owners prioritised the horses’ well-being, which made connecting with them even more special.
The ride along the beach was like something out of a movie. Galloping on the beach was the epitome of that freedom I had hoped for. And then came the most magical part—swimming bareback in the sea. I never imagined something so incredible could be possible. It was pure joy.
What also stood out was the way Kos, Sarah, Chris, and their whole team committed to ensuring everyone felt safe and confident. They balanced professionalism with a genuine sense of fun, allowing us the time and freedom to truly connect with our horses and soak in the experience. There was no pressure to rush; it felt like they cared more about us having the best experience than sticking to the clock. The added value to all of this was capturing so many memories for us. We did not have to focus on taking that iconic shot; all the action shots were taken by them, not only photos but also incredible video footage.
I cannot express enough gratitude for this unforgettable adventure. It exceeded every expectation I had and left me with memories I’ll cherish forever. This is a world-class family-run company. A heartfelt thank you to the team for making this one of the most exceptional experiences of my life. I can’t wait to return!
