UPDATE: Libraries still unable to issue books due to system problem

UPDATE: Libraries still unable to issue books due to an ongoing systems problem 

No library books or membership cards can be issued at any of Overstrand Libraries due to an ongoing storage failure of a faulty Information Management System (aka SLIMS).

This is a provincial-wide problem that affects all libraries in the Western Cape, except the City of Cape Town.

Currently the Western Cape Provincial Library Service does not have an estimated time frame of when they will be back online. “But please, be reassured that this matter is receiving the highest priority and attention,” said Cecilia Sani, Director Library Services Western Cape.

This is beyond the control of the Overstrand Municipality, and we request the public to be patient until the matter is resolved.
