Before You Paint the Whole Lounge… Test It First
A 1L tester costs a little.
Repainting your lounge costs an entire weekend… and most of Saturday's patience.
Here’s how to use a Prominent Paints SA tester properly:
1. Paint two coats
The first coat is still covering what’s underneath. The second is where the true colour appears.
2. Use a loose board instead of the wall
Roughly A2 size works perfectly. You can move it around the room, hold it by the window, next to your curtains or against the skirting.
3. Leave a bare border around the sample
Don’t let the old wall colour influence how you judge the new one.
4. Look at it three different times
Morning light. Midday light. And under your lamps at night. If you still love it at 7pm, you’ve probably found your colour.
5. Give it a full day to dry
Wet paint never looks exactly like the final colour.

Do you always test your paint colours first, or do you trust your instinct?
