Why Your Flooring Should Be Installed By Professionals

So lately I have been getting more and more calls regarding vinyl flooring lifting or bubbling, etc. My first question is always who installed it? Usually, the answer is one of the builder's guys or that friend of our trustworthy handyman. Now my question is... do they attend constant training sessions regarding the evolution of vinyl, do they use the right glue and screed, and by that I mean nothing that you can buy locally in a hardware store. Did they test the moisture of the subfloor and use the right bonding agent for the floor? Usually, the answer is no.

I am posting this so that people can be more aware of the finer details when installing vinyl. Although it looks like an easy fit, there is more to it.

Underneath you can see some recent photos of an installation done by a builder who actually glued the vinyl on top of old novilon flooring. It costs the client now double to repair this. So please, rather contact somebody that specialises in flooring which will help you with the right products and knowledge.
