Digging and planting started early on a rainy Worker's Day in 2006. After two centuries, the first small garden slowly took on shape, transforming De Volkshuijs into a welcoming, cosy haven.

The shrubs flourished and flowered, bringing joy for the past 9 years to both the guests and the owners of De Volkshuijs, proof that it is never too late to start planting!
