De Hoop Collection to Host MTB Adventure Weekends 2021

De Hoop Collection is delighted to announce that it has, together with Anneke Jacobs of Overberg MTB Events created an all-inclusive package for Mountain Bike Adventure Weekend Getaways.

The first of the De Hoop MTB Adventure Weekend getaways is set for 4 - 7 June 2021.

 Guests will be treated to first class accommodation, service and warm hospitality at De Hoop Collection.  De Hoop Collection offers a wide range of luxury accommodation and various options are available to choose from, depending on requests and group sizes (a minimum of eight per group).  The De Hoop Melkkamer Manor house and Vlei Cottages, in a secluded and private setting have private chefs catering for guests; there are also the equipped Cottages, Vlei Cottages and Opstal houses are situated close to the main Opstal and the Fig Tree Restaurant.

 According to events director Anneke Jacobs the weekend will include mountain bike riding (approximately 35-60km distance per day, depending on the level of fitness, requirements and choice of the groups), personal coaching by experienced athletes and coaches, as well as sports massaging by the industry’s leading therapists.  “Add to this the sensory experience of the outdoors, visits to the sandy dunes at Koppie Alleen, sunset nature drives and dinner under the stars, and you have a complete winning escape to one of the best getaway destinations in South Africa”, she says.

The weekend begins on Friday with a 2pm check-in at De Hoop Collection, evening sundowners with snacks, followed by a two-course Potjie Dinner at Melkkamer Manor, or at Opstal Manor under De Hoop’s iconic Fig Tree. On Saturday after breakfast, a mountain bike outride, followed by lunch, a leisurely afternoon – massage options available) and a fabulous Fish Braai concludes the day. On Sunday there’s a cycle to Koppie Alleen, a picnic lunch on the beach at Koppie Alleen, an early evening Nature Drive with drinks and snacks and a two-course Dinner and check-out on Monday after a scrumptious breakfast.
