Perfect for groups of ladies going away together for some R&R, extended families needing bonding time and book clubs, Wheatlands Lodge is a beautifully restored five-bedroom country house in the heart of Bredasdorp that can accommodate ten guests. The lodge was built in 1913 and retains its old-world charm and warmth with wooden floors and vintage heirlooms. Each bedroom at the lodge has an ensuite bathroom and two of the rooms share an interleading door making them suitable for families with small children.

Start your day with a full English breakfast before you bundle up and explore every nook and cranny in Bredasdorp. Rummage through antique shops and art galleries before spending a lazy afternoon eating lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area.  

Braai In The Tranquil Garden 

Dinner time at Wheatlands Lodge is a laidback affair. If you decide to stay in for the night, you have the choice between adding dinner to your rates package if booked well in advance. Alternatively, you are most welcome to bring a picnic basket and cooler box filled with your favourite meats, salads, snacks and drinks so that you can spend evenings braaing and relaxing in the communal lounge while catching up with a mug of hot chocolate or glass of wine.

Although perfect for groups, accommodation at the lodge is also available on a per room basis.
