The leafy lanes and indigenous fynbos are testaments to the region's generous helping of sunlight, and a healthy share of rain. One of the many reasons the Greyton and Genadendal area is a great place to visit. 

Greyton and Genadendal have a Mediterranean climate where they receive approximately 338mm of rain annually, most of which happens during winter. The rainfall gradually increases from May until it reaches its peak in August. The area receives its lowest rainfall in December. 

In winter the average midday temperature is 16°C and during summer it is 27°C. The region is coldest during July but overall experiences a moderate climate that is perfect for outdoor activities and exploration.
