How often did your dream or goal come true, only to be spoiled by something "unforeseen?"

We are very excited about our goals, motivated, and with great energy we work towards that goal. What we neglect is to consider the price we might have to pay to reach the goal.

It is not always money. It might be a new skill we must learn, time away from the family, relocation, dropping a hobby (even temporarily), working weekends, etc. If you do not know what you are prepared to "pay" to reach the goal, you might find yourself with your dream goal in hand and tears in your eyes.

There is nothing wrong with not wanting to "pay" a certain price. All it means is that if opportunities arise with that "price tag" that it is not your goal yet. It is not worth your "bankruptcy" - your intention behind the goal is to bring you joy, happiness, and fulfillment. Ensure that you achieve that.

Next time you consider a new goal, take a moment and know your "price."
