Exterior Painting Tips for Summer
Planning to paint your home's exterior this Summer? Warmer weather is ideal, but painting in direct sunlight can cause paint to dry too quickly, leaving brush marks and an uneven finish.
Here are a few tips for better results:
- Follow the shade as the sun moves around your house.
- Paint north- and west-facing walls in the morning before they heat up.
- Avoid painting walls that feel hot to the touch.
- Check the weather forecast to ensure the paint has enough time to dry before rain.
- Follow the recommended drying and recoat times on the tin.
