NOTICE: Kleinmond Estuary Closed on 15.11.2021
The Kleinmond Estuary is temporarily closed for recreational use due to possible sewage contamination as a result of a pump failure and overflow near the Kleinmond main beach on 15 November 2021.
Water samples have been collected and sent off for analysis, the results of these samples should be received within the next few days.
A warning sign has been erected and will only be removed once water sample results are found to be within the Overberg District Municipality's recreational water quality standards. The public is warned to not swim in the estuary until the water sample results are received and the warning board is removed.
