Unlocking Emotional Freedom: The Ninety-Second Rule

Science shows that when a person has a reaction to something happening in their environment, there is a chemical process that happens for 90 seconds. Any emotional response longer than that is the person choosing to remain within that specific emotional loop.

When we tell the story over and over in our head, hoping for a different outcome, we are choosing to remain in the emotion. The same happens when you apply the outcome experienced now, to perceived situations tomorrow. You choose to remain in that emotional state.

The quickest remedy is to find something that will immediately replace that emotional state: fun, love, gratitude. Apply the ninety Second rule here as well.

Once you have completed this, ask yourself what you would have preferred the outcome to be and then focus on achieving that.

The more you fear some outcome, the more you are "fighting" against it, the more focus you place on it, the more you choose to experience the original emotional state while the event is no longer valid, and the greater the risk of actions that will lead to a similar outcome.

Turn around, focus on what you DO want, open your creative center, match the emotion of a desired outcome, and watch the magic happen.
