Rus kry ‘Ja-woord’ Bo in Lighuis

Dis nie aldag dat ‘n man sy meisie bo in ‘n Lighuistoring vra om met hom te trou nie - wat nog van ‘n Rus wat net vir ‘n paar dae hier is. Alex en Julia, ‘n vriendskapspaartjie van Rusland, het Suid- Afrika onlangs besoek en sowat vyf dae in Gansbaai spandeer. Alex wou sy vriendin vra om met hom te trou, maar nie sommer so nie - hy wou dit heel bo in die Dangerpoint Lighuis doen - met Julia wat van niks geweet het nie. By Dangerpoint Lighuis aangekom, was Alex baie teleurgesteld - die deure was gesluit. Hy het nie handdoek ingegooi nie en vir Glenda Kitley, Bestuurder: Gansbaai Toerisme, gekontak. “Vir my was dit so ‘n mooi en romantiese inisiatief van Alex, dat ek onderneem het om die Lighuis tegaan oopsluit,” vertel Glenda en hulle het op ‘n dag en tyd ooreengekom. Glenda het die paartjie alleen laat boontoe klim en onder vir hulle gewag - met Julia wat steeds van niks geweet het nie.

Met hulle terugkoms is Glenda meegedeel dat Julia ‘gelukkig’ JA gesê het! “Dit was nogal emosionele oomblikke gewees met die tweetjies wat stralend van geluk na onder gekom het,” het Glenda gesê. Nou-ja, twee Russiese besoekers wat Gansbaai beslis nie maklik sal vergeet nie!
