De Mond Villa - Featured on Cape Town ETC
Located within the De Hoop Nature Reserve, a three-hour drive from Cape Town, the De Hoop Collection is an idyllic retreat that offers visitors an unparalleled experience of the natural world.
Set amidst pristine natural landscapes, the Reserve is home to a Ramsar-listed vlei, as well as expansive open spaces, breathtaking beaches, and an abundance of wildlife, including whales, fynbos, and a diverse array of avian species.
Guests can enjoy all that the Reserve has to offer through a range of accommodation options, including several self-catering choices, as well as the newly restored and refurbished Villa. The
De Mond Villa, boasting awe-inspiring interiors, breathtaking views, and five ensuite bedrooms, overlooks the Ramsar vlei and its spectacular birdlife. Here, one may catch sight of wild bush pigs, otters, Rock Dassies, herds of Eland, and even leopard tracks.
Fully catered and guided, the Villa is priced at R3,500 per person per night (a minimum of five guests per night is required, amounting to a minimum of R17,500 per night). This includes guided activities, excluding the eco boat cruise and the vulture experience.
The De Mond Villa will be one of the properties featured on the upcoming De Hoop slackpacking trail, which is currently in the process of being designed. This trail will offer a fully catered and guided 3-5 night hike for groups of up to ten individuals, and will include parts of the iconic whale trail route as well as other spectacular highlights of De Hoop.
Truly a nature lover’s paradise, De Hoop offers unparalleled peace and tranquillity in what may well be one of the last unspoiled gems of the Cape.
As a member of Cape Country Routes, the De Hoop Collection is committed to providing guests with an unforgettable experience that celebrates the beauty and wonder of South Africa’s natural world.
