Christmas in July Brings Festive Cheer and Community Spirit

The L'Agulhas Bowls Club recently celebrated its inaugural Christmas in July social following Friday afternoon plaatjies, combining festive fun with a worthy cause.

Inspired by the spirit of giving associated with Christmas in July, members rallied behind Love for Pets, a local animal welfare charity. Club members generously donated tins and bags of dog and cat food, while many also contributed pre-loved books, which will be sold to raise additional funds for the charity.

The donations were placed beneath a beautifully decorated Christmas tree before being handed over to a representative of Love for Pets during the evening. The club was delighted by the support shown, with many members contributing even if they were unable to attend the social.

The event was not only a great social occasion but also an opportunity for the L'Agulhas Bowls Club to give back to the local community. The success of this inaugural Christmas in July celebration highlighted the generosity of its members and reinforced the club's commitment to supporting worthwhile causes.
