Check for Plumbing Leaks!
At Flux Plumbing, we want to remind you of the importance of checking for leaks in your plumbing installations, especially in your toilet cistern.
A toilet cistern has two main components: the inlet valve and the flush valve.
Inlet Valve: If the inlet valve becomes faulty, it may not shut off properly, causing the cistern to continually fill and overflow into the toilet. This leak is often so small that it goes unnoticed!
Flush Valve: Similarly, if the rubber on the flush valve is worn or there’s a slight imperfection in the flush valve seat, water can slowly leak into the toilet pan. Again, this leak is typically very slow and barely noticeable.
These tiny leaks can add up to a significant amount of water waste each month, leading to higher water bills and wasting a precious resource.
Don’t wait! If you suspect a leak in your toilet cistern, contact Flux Plumbing today for a thorough inspection.
