L’Agulhas Bowls Club Takes Second at Hermanus Suzuki Classic

A team from L’Agulhas Bowls Club competed in the Hermanus Suzuki Classic, held over two days on 24 and 25 September 2026.
Diane and Reynier Moller, together with Geoleen and Cobus Engelbrecht, faced a strong field of 30 teams, which included several Boland and Protea players.
The format consisted of three sessions of 15 ends per day. The opening session was determined by a blind draw, while the second and third sessions were played strength versus strength.
After an excellent first day, the L’Agulhas team finished in second position. They fought hard throughout the second day to maintain their place and produced a fantastic performance to finish second overall.
The competition could not have been closer! The L’Agulhas team and the eventual winners both finished on 48 points, with the final result determined by shot aggregate. Louise Roediger’s team from Hermanus narrowly claimed first place.
