(NEGOTIABLE WITHIN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT: TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGES PAYABLE TO MUNICIPAL MANAGERS AND MANAGERS DIRECTLY ACCOUNTABLE TO THE MUNICIPAL MANAGER OF WHICH NOTICE IS ISSUED FROM TIME TO TIME.)
PLACE OF WORK: CORPORATE HEAD OFFICE - BREDASDORP
The Municipal Manager, as Accounting Officer and Head of Administration, is responsible for the overall performance and the management of the municipality to ensure that the objectives of the municipality are achieved.
Core functions of the post: As is provided for, but not limited to, the provisions of The Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, No 32 of 2000, The Local Government: Municipal Finance Management Act, No 56 of 2003, and the Municipality’s Section 53 Role Clarification Policy.
Minimum qualifications, work-related experience and knowledge and competency framework: As are provided for in The Local Government: Regulations on Appointment and Conditions of Employment of Senior Managers (GN 21 in Government Gazette 37245 dated 13 January 2014) and the Municipal Regulations on Minimum Competency Levels (GN 493 in Government Gazette 29967 dated 15 June 2007) as amended from time to time.
