Overcoming Self-Doubt: Key Questions to Transform Your Life

“Self-doubt kills talent.” - Edie McClurg.

Self-doubt is the saboteur of our dreams and goals. It is the anchor for our limiting beliefs that leave us living a life of lack. Self-doubt ensures that we remain in a state of searching, living an unfulfilled life, and eventually believing that we are failures.

Self-doubt can be framed as one of two questions: 1. Do you buy into the stories you tell yourself about yourself and what you perceive others might think of you, or 2. Do you have an actual limitation?

Can the actual limitation be overcome through study or skill? Remember, every person who has succeeded before you had a moment when they could not achieve their goal either. What sets them apart is that they continued to pursue their dream and found answers.

If self-doubt is anchored in a belief, you can change that belief. Beliefs are not cast in stone; even stone can be chiselled into the most beautiful sculptures.

When you find yourself at a hurdle, you should always ask two questions: If I have this problem, is there something I can do to solve it? Yes or No. If there is something I can do about the problem, do I know where to find the answer? Yes or No.

Never allow your self-doubt to rob you of your best life.
