The 25 July 2025 issue of Gans-Berg Nuus covers a Mandela Day event in Caledon where a Safe House was upgraded through a partnership between SAB and Theewaterskloof Municipality. Local projects in Gansbaai included BARC donations, a Masakhane cleanup, and a storage unit built by Firstrand Volunteers. A Courier Guy locker was installed in Franskraal. The Overberg Kushengelklub crowned its winners, with Thys Kemp taking the top angler spot again. Elmarie van Aswegen launched two health-focused books. A new pigeon racing season kicked off, and the annual Galjoen competition is set for 23 August. Fanie and Judy Bothma’s African travel album was featured, and the weather forecast and tide tables were included.
