Creative Exploration of Fynbos

A Cure for Fynbos Blindness

Let us take a timeout from consumerism and connect with nature through creating awareness. A Cure for Fynbos Blindness with a Touch of Nectar is just what you need to really connect with the natural beauty that clothes our landscape in the Western Cape.

Come with me and let me take you on a sensual educational into the Fynbos that will inspire and rejuvenate your soul. It is all about bringing awareness and life to the intricate patterns and texture of the Fynbos that magically transforms the Cape landscape. We have an amazing smorgasbord of diversity at our fingertips and in front of our eyes and due to the pace of life we tend to glance and our awareness goes out the window! I offer an outing with a fresh introduction which gets your creative juices flowing and thus transforms appreciation of nature's secrets as well as a soul journey!

The Fynbos biome has over 1800 threatened plants and is fast disappearing due to a number of factors but the one that concerns me the most is the march of alien invasive guzzlers. The impact of this is life-threatening to a myriad of plants, insects, bees, soil and micro-organisms. With only 10% of this biome under protection - oh my hat! - our children's children will not see the beauty!

I am going to tell you what to bring on our connection with our natural resource outing - A hat, water, packet for rubbish that we pick up on our way, bag, healthy snacks to nibble on, a booklet (if you have one) pen or watercolour pencils, and most importantly a sense of wonderment! I have everything else that is required. Oh yes, preferably no camera's... the point is observation with all senses working.

For my groups, in order to really connect with this treasure chest, a  max of 10 people is advisable - as this is a personal journey of awareness, mystery and colorful secrets!
