Growing up in Kenya on a farm surrounded by nature, Sara Abbott has a love of art. That love was encouraged by her father who would often see Sara and her sister draw by lamplight during the evenings. One of her earliest artwork endeavour memories was in school. It was one of her guinea pig which she drew with two different art mediums, and to her surprise, her teacher held up for them and exclaimed: “I like that.”
Throughout the years Sara has travelled extensively and visited countries such as England, India and the Seychelles where she was inspired by the different cultures. Sara also gives credit to various mentors she met along the way. With each passing day, Sara’s artistic range expands as she continues to experiment with different art styles and materials. An upcoming photographic tour of India promises to produce new and exciting artworks from the Abbott art stables.
