Since The Computer Hut was first established in 2013 as a small computer shop, the Gansbaai-based company has grown to become a leading internet and fibre network provider in the Overstrand area. Connecting Communities
In 2018 The computer Hut started rolling out fibre in the Gansbaai area so that the community could enjoy the fastest internet experience available on the market.
In 2019 the company was the first fibre installer to sign a master wayleave agreement with the Overstrand Municipality to install fibre on public property.
After that, The Computer Hut met the demand for fibre in Stanford and in 2021 the project commenced in the northern and southern parts of the village. Each step of the way The Computer Hut has opted for underground fibre installation that although more expensive is a lot easier on the eye. Important to note is that The Computer Hut has a direct fibre line from Rondebosch to the client’s house in Stanford with no wireless links involved!
