The guys at The Computer Hut have always had a strong commitment to family, connecting communities and watching live sport on a Saturday! With this in mind, after dominating the Gansbaai fibre market (+- 8000 homes passed), they went all out to ensure a solid fibre infrastructure was installed in Stanford north, south and the Klein River Estate (up until the Stanhaven Gate).

Working Together With Other Internet Service Providers

The Computer Hut wanted to give the people of Stanford the opportunity to choose their internet service provider. By sharing their exceptional tech skills, and world-class fibre infrastructure, they presented companies such as Orca and BDC with the opportunity to rent their fibre lines.

Fibre Installation - How It Works

The Computer Hut team will install fibre from the street boundary box to your home. The other service providers teams will then plug in your home router after the first boundary installation has been completed and,” Voila! You are instantly connected!”

Breakdown of The Computer Hut’s Internet Service Provider (ISP) network:

 • Dedicated Netflix and Google cache servers in the Teraco data centre cabinet ensure the best possible streaming services
 • Dedicated fibre circuits in Gansbaai and Stanford that run to the Rondebosch Teraco data centre. Direct fibre line from client-to-internet
 • Backup wireless links to the neighbouring towns of Bredasdorp and McGregor when the local fibre backhaul circuit provider is down to Rondebosch
