Join us for a five-day intensive workshop to build watercolour skills for botanical painting on paper. Enjoy demonstrations of drawing and painting techniques from initial washes and layering to dry brush detail and finishing. Working on one subject, there will be an emphasis on close observation and accurate drawing from life. Explore subtle variations in colour achieved through mixing and layering to create tonal changes indicating form, and learn the importance of light in rendering textures and creating three-dimensional paintings.
Suitable for: Intermediate to advanced students, or those with drawing skills and experience in other media.
