Today we enjoyed another day on the water, encountering different types of marine life throughout the day. For the first trip we went straight out to deeper waters where we encountered several humpback whales. This species of whale has been coming past fairly regularly in their north-bound migration the last days, and we have been enjoying every single encounter with them. During the second trip we also encountered humpback whales, travelling very close to the coastline. First we counted three, but in the end we were with 4 individuals. We were very lucky to see a couple of tail throws from these whales, and also one of them gave a very powerful and loud blow next to our boat. On both trips today we paid a visit to the Cape fur seal colony on Geyser rock. On the first trip we also encountered a great white shark together with the shark cage diving company Marine Dynamics, and on the third trip we went to see the African penguins in Sponge bay on Dyer Island. Every tour with us is very different, which adds to the excitement because we never know which members of the Marine Big 5 we will encounter.
