A good start is to visit the SANParks Agulhas National Park where you can climb the 71-steps that lead to the top of the Cape Agulhas lighthouse and enjoy panoramic views that stretch as far as the eye can see. Also nearby is the remains of a Japanese shipwreck that lay scattered close to shore.
Outdoor adventurists can enjoy fynbos hikes and MTB trails that criss-cross the area, or quite simply pack a picnic to enjoy along the coast.
Most of the restaurants in Agulhas serve fresh seafood collected daily from the fishermen at Struisbaai Harbour. For those wanting something less fishy, there are bistros and coffee shops selling wholesome South African fare created with locally sourced ingredients.
Fast making a name both locally and internationally, is the Cape Agulhas Wine Route that winds its way from Agulhas through the Elim Moravian settlement toward Gansbaai. The Winelands unique terroir has resulted in wines that range from eminently quaffable to those fit for a connoisseur.
