Mastering Goals and Journey: Achieving Your Desires
Keep your focus on the goal. The purpose of the journey is to provide skills.
Once we start working with goals, I always say to clients: 'Your job is to keep focused on your goals. The journey is none of your business.'
We get bogged down in the journey, lose sight of our goal, get distracted by our resistance, and begin to believe that we are not good enough or that things will never work out for us.
The purpose of the journey is to bring you lessons to master your skills: self-belief, patience, motivation, compassion, self-love, enforcing boundaries, knowing who we truly are, and so much more.
The purpose of your goal is to attain your highest and greatest desire.
If you want to enter the realm of that desire, your key to unlocking it is mastering yourself. Letting go of the limitations that keep you stuck in lack. How will you maintain your desire if you constantly believe that you are not good enough? How can it materialise if you believe in your life of lack?
The purpose of the journey is to bring the ego into check, to allow your true self to rise to its highest greatness, and for you to have the ultimate experience once you achieve your goal. When you focus on the 'limitations' the journey brings, you enter anxiety and now your imagination is stuck in a future that has all the potential not to happen. The reality is that your focus moves from achieving the goal to how NOT to make the goal a reality.
If you are ready to focus on your goals and not your resistance, you are ready for a transformation. And now the journey becomes the gift.
