Anchor's Rest

Anchor’s Rest offers four comfortable self-catering accommodation units in the heart of Hermanus. Each unit has a separate entrance and a private patio with a braai area, as well as communal use of the property’s swimming pool. Situated a mere 150m from the majestic cliff paths that overlook Walker Bay, the area is known for having some of the best land-based whale-watching opportunities in the world. Anchor’s Rest is the perfect base from where to explore the Overberg and is a short stroll to the hustle-and-bustle of Hermanus with its vibey restaurants and shops. Anchor’s Rest can accommodate a total of 12 guests.

Anchor’s Rest is a family run business that has been a comfortable home-base for many guests from around the world, since 2006.

Your hosts, Jennifer and Hilary Clarke, have years of hands-on experience in the hospitality industry and can recommend all the things to do in-and-around the Overberg.

Seagulls

(sleeps two)

Seagulls is a double-storey apartment with its own separate entrance and a private patio with a braai area.

The ground floor of the cute apartment has a kitchenette and breakfast area.

There is a Queen-size bed in the loft and the bathroom has a bath, shower, basin and toilet.

Driftwood

(sleeps four)

Driftwood is a one-bedroom garden cottage with its own separate entrance and a private patio with a braai area.

There is a fully-equipped kitchenette and the living room has a double sleeper couch.

The bedroom has a Queen-size bed and the bathroom has a shower, basin and toilet.

Driftwood & Pebbles: (sleeps six)

Driftwood and Pebbles have an interlinking door which can be opened so that the two rooms can be converted into a family unit with a living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Please note, when booked separately, the common passage is not accessible and the two units are totally separate from each other for total privacy.

Pebbles

(sleeps two)

Pebbles is a petite room with its own entrance and private patio with a braai area.

The room has a mini-kitchenette and a Queen-size bed. There is a bathroom with a toilet, basin and shower.

Pebbles & Driftwood

(sleeps six)

Driftwood and Pebbles have an interlinking door which can be opened so that the two rooms can be converted into a family unit with a living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Please note, when the two units are booked separately, the units are totally private from each other and the common passage is not accessible.

Starfish

(sleeps four)

Starfish has its own separate entrance and a private patio with a braai area.

There is a kitchenette and a spacious open-plan living area with a Queen-size bed. A small bedroom just off the main room has two single beds. The bathroom has a bath, shower, basin and toilet.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 60 days and more will be will receive a 90% refund of the deposit
Cancellations between 29 to 60 days will receive a 50% refund of the deposit
Cancellations within 28 days of arrival will receive no refund of the deposit
