The geographical location of Vermont on the Cape South Coast, between Cape Town and Cape Infanta, places it in the heart of the Overberg's wine and floral kingdom. Vermont is hugged by neighbouring Hoek-van-die-berg Private Nature Reserve and Onrus, Hermanus.

Spring celebrations in Vermont include the annual Hermanus Whale Festival as well as many other arts & culture-related festivals that draw many visitors to the area.
