Trading of Hermanus Country Market
Without prejudicing any rights of the Municipality in this regard, and as a sign of goodwill, the Overstrand Municipality, as landowner, will allow the Hermanus Country Market to trade this coming Saturday, 4 February 2023, as per a request from the Hermanus Sports Club, to whom the Municipality lease the property.
This decision was taken in lieu of the fact that there will be a public meeting on the ‘way forward’ of the Hermanus Country Market on Monday afternoon, 6 February 2023 from 16:00 - 18:00 in the Municipal Auditorium.
The permission to proceed with the market applies to this Saturday only, considering the fact that the stallholders are not being disadvantaged by the fact that the structures at the market are not compliant.
Overstrand Municipality will make further announcement on the matter after the meeting on 6 February 2023.
