Ayurvedic Hair Care Tips

Feeling a bit jealous of Rapunzel's long luscious locks?? Is your hair dry, frizzy, falling out... and needing a good boost.

We have a few ayurvedic-based hair care tips for you that are easy and quick to apply:

• Massage your scalp - this reduces tension and stress, increasing blood circulation to the scalp, making hair follicles healthy, thereby boosting growth.

• Use a conditioner that can moisturise and hydrate your hair - especially on ends to avoid tangling and frizz.

• Use a microfibre towel when drying which absorbs water faster, creates less friction, limiting frizz.

• Trim regularly to eliminate damaged, broken, split ends, and encourage growth.

• Get enough sleep - Inadequate sleep disturbs bodily functions and processes causing dry, split ends.

• Eat Healthy - the health of your hair depends on the food you eat. Improper diet, affects bodily processes, causing dry/damaged hair.

• Use natural chemical-free hair products that will not have side effects on hair and scalp

• Sleep on a satin or silk pillow case - this causes less friction and frizz.

• Manage stress - stress prevents hair follicles from producing new strands. It also affects hormone imbalances which increase hair fall.

Try either, exercise, essential oils, or connecting with nature.

Your hair enhances your personality... so take care of it properly.
