TRAFFIC OFFICES RETURN TO NORMAL WORKING HOURS

The Hermanus Traffic Department, situated on the corner of Short & Mussel Streets, is once again running at full strength from Mondays to Fridays from 08:00 - 15:15 and every Saturday during September from 08:30 - 12:00.

All transactions can be done on any day with immediate effect. 

The traffic offices in Kleinmond and Gansbaai are open Mondays - Fridays from 08:00 - 15:15 with a lunch break between 13:00 - 13:45.

Hermanus Traffic is now open for bookings for learner and driver’s license appointments.

Bookings for new learner and driver’s license appointments will be accepted from tomorrow, Wednesday 19 August 2020. Official testing will be conducted during the month of October.

Any learner’s license that expires between 27 March and 31 August 2020 will remain valid until 31 January 2021.

What you will need to apply for a learner’s license:

-    2 x ID photos

-    Identity document / card

-    R68 application fees

-    Proof of address

What you will need to apply for a driver licence test:

-    2 x ID photos

-    Identity document / card

-    Learner’s license

-    R135 application fee for motorcycles and light vehicles

-    R200 application fee for heavy vehicles

-    Proof of address
